A Tetris-inspired maths game where falling number blocks meet curriculum-aligned arithmetic, designed to make daily maths practice something kids actually ask to do.

Five worlds, six collectible monster buddies, four strategic power-ups, and 30+ levels of measurable progression. Difficulty adapts to the child's school year, distractor answers are pedagogically chosen so children learn from incorrect choices, and a Trainer mode introduces every mechanic without time pressure for first-time players.

For parents: no advertising, ever. No third-party analytics, no real names collected, no logins, no subscriptions. A one-time $5.99 unlock buys the whole thing for life. For schools, students join their actual school from a database of 8,000+ Australian schools, with year-level filtered leaderboards and Apple Volume Purchase Program support for bulk-licensing.

Built with four audiences in mind.

Every feature passes a four-way test: it has to delight the child, satisfy the teacher, reassure the parent, and work in a real classroom.

For students

Play first, learn anyway.

  • Tetris-style falling blocks: answer before they reach the top
  • Six monster buddies to collect: puppy, kitten, dragon, penguin, bear, owl
  • Four power-ups: Freeze, 50/50 Hint, Bomb, Extra Time
  • Boss levels at the end of each world
  • Coins earned through play unlock buddies, never sold for real money
For teachers

Pedagogy under the play.

  • Curriculum-aligned to AU Foundation–Year 6 outcomes
  • Adaptive difficulty: tunes to the child's school year
  • Distractor design: wrong answers are off-by-one, off-by-two, or operation confusion, so children learn from them
  • Trainer mode introduces mechanics without time pressure
  • Per-child stats: accuracy, streaks, best scores, level completion
For parents

Peace of mind, by design.

  • No third-party advertising. Ever.
  • No behavioural tracking, no real names, no email or photos collected
  • No login or account creation required
  • Parental gate before any in-app purchase or social sharing
  • COPPA-compliant by design, GDPR-ready, Australian-owned
For schools

Classroom-ready out of the box.

  • School leaderboards across 8,000+ Australian schools
  • Pseudonymous nicknames + 2-letter initials only, never real names
  • Year-level filtering: Year 3s compete with Year 3s
  • Friend codes for class-wide private leaderboards
  • Works fully offline, MDM-compatible, Apple VPP supported

"MathStack was built with my 11-year-old daughter Alaska as the lead playtester and design consultant. Every level, every buddy, every power-up was approved by the toughest critic I know."
