Assessments
- The 15-minute fit check is free, with no payment details taken.
- The AI assessment is $299 at our founding-client rate, paid at booking. That rate runs until 31 December 2026, after which the assessment is $999. It ends in a written plan for your business, and whatever you pay is credited in full against any build we go on to do together.
- Things come up. You can reschedule your assessment as many times as you need within 30 days of the original booking, using the link in your confirmation email.
- The $299 holds the time we set aside, so we keep it if you don’t attend and don’t reschedule inside that 30 days. Whenever the session does happen, it stays credited in full against any build.
Builds, hosting, and support
- Build work is quoted as a one-time project cost in your written plan before anything starts. We don’t begin billable work without your written go-ahead.
- Website builds start at $999. That covers design and build of up to five pages, one round of revisions on the design, and launch including DNS, redirects and analytics. It applies to a site with no data of its own to store beyond an enquiry form.
- A website build runs about a month from brief to finished. You see a working version of your homepage within seven days of us having your brief, which is a draft to react to rather than a finished site. You then review it and we agree a go-live date together, and the weeks after launch cover search setup, on-page SEO, performance tuning and the enhancements you ask for in that period. The dates are in your written scope, and they depend in part on your content reaching us.
- A website that needs its own database — bookings, accounts and logins, a member area, or anything that stores what a visitor submits — starts at $3,000, because it also involves designing the data and the screens you manage it through. Hosting and support for those sites are $249 a month rather than $199, the extra $50 covering management of the database itself and its backups. Online stores, headless Shopify conversions and anything needing an integration are scoped with you before work starts.
- Websites we build run on our hosting at $199 a month, which covers small content and copy changes, monitoring and fixes when something breaks, framework and dependency updates, and hosting and the infrastructure the site runs on. This is required rather than optional, because the build price depends on us hosting the site. A minimum term of twelve months applies from launch, after which it continues month to month and you can stop at the end of any month you have paid for.
- If you want to stop inside the first twelve months, the remainder of the term falls due. Once the twelve months are paid, whether by finishing the term or by paying it out early, the site is handed over to you: the code, your content, and a clean handover to whoever looks after it next. You are not renting something you can never take with you. The one thing that does not transfer is the performance, because how a site is built, hosted and deployed is what produces those numbers, and we stop controlling that at handover.
- Where a website we build collects personal information, such as an enquiry form, that information belongs to you and we handle it on your behalf. We use it to run the site and for nothing else, we do not sell or trade it, and stored data lives in Australian regions on infrastructure we run. The tools involved are named in writing for your engagement. You can ask us for an export or a deletion at any time, and we delete what we hold on request. Publishing your own privacy policy, and meeting your obligations to the people who contact you, remain yours.
- Hosting and support for managed agents run from $199 a month. That covers hosting and the infrastructure the agent runs on, model and API usage at normal business volume, monitoring and fixes when something breaks, and minor tuning as your business changes. Unusually heavy usage is quoted separately, and we tell you before it is.
- For managed agents, support is optional and you can cancel any time. The agent runs to the end of the month you have paid for and then stops. We export your data at no charge and delete what we hold on request. There is no exit fee.
- Your business data remains yours throughout, and the data-handling boundaries in your written plan and our privacy policy apply to every engagement.
- On full payment, the things we build for you under a written plan are yours to use for your business. We keep the right to reuse general know-how, tooling, and code libraries that are not specific to you.
AI, review, and responsibility
AI agents draft and act within the boundaries agreed in your written plan, and nominated humans approve outward-facing output. AI can make mistakes; the human-in-the-loop design exists for that reason, and agents are not a substitute for professional advice in regulated fields.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law, including guarantees that services are provided with due care and skill. To the extent the law allows, our liability for a service is limited to resupplying that service or refunding what you paid for it.
The boring but important bits
